Description

Authentic Siberian Ruderalis regular seeds are hard to find. This Siberian Ruderalis is a giant and vigorous autoflowering variety with good trichome production. The villagers near Lake Chebarkul have been using these semi-wild plants for making incredibly flavourful hashish with high CBD content.

Cannabis was probably domesticated in Central Asia for the very first time, over 14 000 years ago. This Cherbakul marijuana strain likely came from a cross between the local Ruderalis variety and the landraces of nearby Kazakhstan. This explains its citrusy smell, high trichome production, and mild psychoactivity.

“Guardian of the Lost Terps”, a member of the Russian Landrace Bureau handpicked the original seeds directly at source. Khalifa Genetics has been working hard to adapt this strain to growing indoors. The result is a controlled pollination of 4 generations that ensures the development of strong plants and a diversity of genetics.

After no more than 2-3 weeks, the plants automatically start flowering. As the weeks progress, they stretch up to 1.2 to 1.9 meters (3.9-6.2 feet). To keep the height manageable, indoor growers top them off a few times. Towards the end of their flowering cycle, over 25% of plants turn a beautiful mauve or purple shade.

These plants are unusually vigorous and have low nutrient needs. They require less nutrients than most other strains, because they naturally grow in rockier soil. During their early life cycle, these plants can't handle nutrient burn, so a soil with fewer nutrients is best for them. In the second half of their life cycle, they can receive a mild nutrient solution.

Siberian Ruderalis from Khalifa Genetics is probably the best high CBD autoflowering strain on the market for outdoor cultivation in the north. It's perfect for guerilla growers as well. The vast majority of modern autoflowering hybrids have lost their natural capabilities to survive in nature. Siberian Ruderalis is a hardy strain, low maintenance, nutrient efficient, and extremely cold resistant. A valuable landrace for breeding projects and creating your own CBD strains. The high is only mildly psychoactive, making this a perfect CBD medicine for daytime use.

Germination

Siberian Ruderalis comes from a place where the winter is extremely cold (-21°C/-4°F in January on average). Therefore, the seeds have a very thick, waterproof shell which allows them to only sprout in late spring when the winter is over. For that reason, cold treating or cracking/nicking the seeds is recommended. Soaking the seeds for a few hours in water containing Aloe Vera gel and cracking them after the soak facilitates germination rates over 80%. The soaking should not exceed 12 hrs to prevent seed rot. Each packet contains extra seeds so growers can practice the seed cracking method.

Cold seed stratification is another method to break the dormancy cycle and trigger germination. For cold treatment soak them up to 8 hrs before planting. Plant the seeds in a moist mix of vermiculite or perlite and sterile peat moss. 1 inch seedling trays cut to size are ideal for this purpose. Seal the tray in a plastic bag or place it in a tupperware box to prevent it from drying out. If you don't have the space in your fridge for a small tray, you can mix the seeds with the substrate in a zip-lock bag. Store in the refrigerator for 10-14 days. Check to see if the seeds are germinating after 10 days, in which case they need to be taken out of the fridge.

A bit tricky but ok

7 out of the 8 seeds germinated quickly after filing them down. Way better than anticipated! The seeds seemed to be pretty old and weak though - not a single one managed to fully crack its coat and they all got stuck for almost a week, so i had to remove the coats manually. In the end 6 made it, one exhausted itself and died.

Looking forward to how they will develop!

So far the plant is growing very well and quickly, can’t wait to cross it in flower and see the results , I would like to produce forbidden Runtz fast version, plus many other crossbreeds and also some cbd

Review

I started 4 seeds in a jar with aloe water in the house covered to keep them dark in the house and had no luck with this. So used a clean nail file to sand another 6 seeds
Again with aloe water but this time in a green house and I have one small plant up and 2 seeds looking like they will pop 3 seeds went mouldy and the aloe water had been changed several times. I still have another 4 seeds but probably to late in the year to start now . To early to tell but waiting for the others to germinate in water.
