Red Baloch from PuRa Seeds is a premium reproduction of a THC-dominant "red" heirloom Indica originally collected in Balochistan, Pakistan by ILE.  Only one generation removed from its source, this authentic pure Indica is very rare and now available at a very grower-friendly price.

Balochistan lies between 25-30°N and is Pakistan's largest province. This latitude contributes to the region's arid and extreme climatic conditions, including intense UV radiation, low humidity, and large diurnal temperature variations. It features a harsh climate (BWh and BWk classification) with cold winters and warm summers in the highlands.

The Red Baloch strain originates from a cold, desert region (BWk) found in high altitude areas such as Quetta and Mastung. Winters are cold, often with snowfall, while summers remain warm but not as extreme as in the lowlands. This rugged landscape serves as the ultimate testing ground for plant resilience. Only genotypes with exceptional tolerance to drought, cold and heat thrive in these unforgiving conditions.

Balochistan hosts diverse cannabis expressions across farming regions. Farmers here prioritize vigorous, late-flowering plants, which are regarded as superior for producing some of the world's finest hashish. These plants deliver a remarkable array of flavours.

Our organic Red Baloch cannabis seeds can be easily germinated in seedling soil. Soaking the seeds and other pre-germination methods are not recommended. We accept no responsibility for results if customers insist on germinating in paper tissues or soak their seeds in water. 

Red Baloch originates from compact and bushy Indica plants with relatively narrow leaves that grow 1.2-1.5 meters (4-5 feet) in outdoor containers, or up to 2 meters (7-8 feet) in the ground. Its leaves and buds can turn magenta red or dark violet with ripening. The general flowering time is 10-11 weeks and seeds planted end of May can be harvested end of October into November.

Due to its exceptional drought and heat tolerance, Red Baloch thrives in hot, dry, and Mediterranean climates. This corresponds to USDA plant hardiness zones 8-10 (parts of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California). The plants also tolerate cold spells during flowering and can endure significant temperature fluctuations throughout their growth cycle. In rainy northern climates a greenhouse with humidity control is required. 

This pure Indica strain is easy to grow and beginner friendly. Indoors the plants are medium height and fit into standard size grow tents. White LED (200W or more) and 400-600W HPS lamps are recommended. During flowering, high lumens per m2 is best to maximize production.

The terpene profile of Red Baloch marijuana is predominantly fruity, with notes of strawberry and apple, complemented by additional aromas that vary by phenotype. Two distinct phenotypes have been observed. The first features a light red colouration and exudes the scent of chocolate-dipped strawberries with an incense-like base and a hint of lemon. On the exhale, it carries a subtle cookie flavour. The second, a darker violet variant, retains the fruity and incense tones but introduces a more pronounced diesel aroma.
