Afghanistan is renowned for its native landrace cannabis strains, which have evolved over generations to suit the local environment. These strains, prized by cannabis enthusiasts, possess distinct characteristics. In Kandahar province the aroma, effects, and growth traits of cannabis plants vary based on genetics, cultivation methods, and environmental conditions.

The Afghan Maruf Red selection is notable for its exceptional resin production and very dense, chunky buds that emit a strong odour reminiscent of decaying animal matter (rotting protein) and sulphur. This pungent smell is prominent in the red selection, accompanied by hints of phenol and eastern spices. The taste mirrors the smell, with a hint of dill, followed by earthy tones and a lingering garlic and meatball finish. 

This pure Indica landrace has a robust structure with good side branching, accented by striking red hues on the leaves and a lime green stem. The plants usually grow between 2-2.5 meters (6.5-8.2 feet) outdoors. This strain can also be easily grown indoor as well. Moderate levels of nutrients are recommended for the whole cycle, slightly higher in N-P-K during the peak flowering period.

Germination info: ILE seeds must be planted directly in soil. A heating mat is beneficial during cooler months. The average germination time is 5-12 days. Do NOT throw away your soil if the seedlings don't appear after a few days!
