Mandala Seeds is excited to offer an exclusive pre-release of a rare Papua New Guinea cannabis landrace from the Goroka Highlands, made possible through our close and trusted collaboration with Ace Seeds.

Drawing on their extensive experience, the Ace Seeds team has developed a regular seed edition of this equatorial Sativa, preserving its unique genetic heritage and exceptional qualities. The project is ongoing, with the official release available later this year. 

The Goroka Highlands sit at around 5,000 ft (1,600 m) elevation near 6° south of the equator. This highland environment has very consistent day length and intense sunlight, with minimal variation in daylight length throughout the year.

The traditional cannabis growing in and around Goroka and the wider Eastern Highlands has long been cultivated by local growers organically. Locals sow seeds around November–January and harvest between May and July in the peak sunny season, showing a long, natural flowering period.

This pure Sativa flowers for 4-5 months and develops into giants. Very high mold and heat resistance.

Effects are traditionally very uplifting and cerebral, described as a “soaring high,” with a sense of progression or intensification through the experience.

Papua New Guinea Landrace is best grown outdoors, particularly in hot, tropical or subtropical environments:

If you attempt to grow indoors, you'll need a proper light source (400-600W HPS is best) and consistent warmth. Indoor flowering time is up to 24 weeks.
