Description
Gulistan #2 is a selected Indica landrace from Gulistan in northern Balochistan, Pakistan, close to the Afghan border. Originating from large traditional field populations with Afghan Indica heritage, #2 was chosen by Sovereign Farmers from among the best-performing plants of the Gulistan population.
This selection has a stout, powerful structure with dense flower development and impressive trichome production. Its compact, sturdy growth gives the plant a robust appearance, while the flowers become heavily covered with resin as they mature.
The aroma is impossible to ignore. Gulistan #2 produces an exceptionally intense combination of foul, funky notes and sharp citrus. Sovereign Farmers reports that the smell becomes so powerful that even the local farmers find prolonged exposure challenging. This aggressive pungent-citrus terpene profile was distinctive enough to earn #2 its place among the selected Gulistan phenotypes.
Gulistan lies at approximately 1,500 metres elevation in the rugged mountains and valleys of northern Balochistan. The climate is semi-arid, with dry conditions and considerable temperature fluctuations associated with the elevation and continental location. These demanding conditions form the native environment in which the Gulistan population has been cultivated and selected.
According to Sovereign Farmers, the extensive cannabis cultivation found around Gulistan is closely connected with Afghan farmers who settled in Balochistan and continued their traditional cannabis cultivation. The resulting populations carry Afghan Indica heritage while being cultivated on the Pakistani side of the border.
Gulistan #2 combines stout, vigorous growth with dense flowers, impressive trichome coverage and one of the most intense aroma profiles among the Gulistan selections. Its powerful foul-citrus character and resin production make this an especially interesting selection for hash enthusiasts, landrace collectors and breeders searching for distinctive Afghan Indica traits from northern Balochistan.
