Description

Krystalica is a Sativa-dominant strain that combines high potency, impressive resin production and excellent yields with remarkably straightforward cultivation. Its Kerala and Nepal landrace heritage has been refined over many years of breeding with select old-school genetics, resulting in plants that retain the vigor and quality of a fine Sativa while staying at a much more manageable height and finishing in just 9–10 weeks.

Plants are extremely robust, and growers have marvelled at their “insane vigour.” High resistance to heat and pests also makes the strain accessible to beginners while offering plenty of potential for experienced growers.

Buds can be dense, broad and pyramid-shaped, or show more Sativa-like expressions. Many plants produce impressive head colas and productive side branches. As flowering progresses, the weight of the buds may require some support.

In soil, plants from seed benefit from at least 5-liter containers during vegetative growth and around 10 liters for flowering. Clones can be grown in smaller containers. Krystalica does not require complicated growing techniques to deliver quality results and also adapts well to SOG or close planting.

Outdoors, Krystalica performs best in regions with warm summers and is recommended up to approximately 45°N. Under favorable conditions, the main colas and side branches can reach impressive proportions and produce bumper harvests. Farther north, finishing time and overall performance depend more strongly on local temperatures, daylight hours and autumn weather.

Seeds can be started later in the season, up to the end of May, when shorter outdoor plants are preferred. In colder climates, seedlings can be started indoors and moved outside or into a greenhouse once conditions improve. Cuttings can also be used, although the light cycle should be managed carefully when moving clones outdoors to prevent premature flowering.

Krystalica is a high-terpene strain with a complex aroma that can vary considerably between individual plants. Fruity notes are prominent, with pineapple and bubblegum expressions accompanied by herbal, minty and earthy undertones. Some plants develop a strawberry aroma, a rare expression in cannabis that is well worth looking out for.
