Description
Baglung Nepalese 2025 Line by Bunkerlinge Seeds is an exceptional Himalayan landrace selection from the Baglung region of Nepal. This limited edition combines two complementary breeding lines, preserving the remarkable genetic diversity of the original Nepalese stock while introducing five generations of adaptation to Central European climate (USDA Zones 6b–8b).
With only 55 packs produced worldwide, this release offers a unique opportunity for collectors, phenotype hunters, and breeders seeking authentic Himalayan genetics for future outdoor sativa hybrids.
The breeding project began in 2016 with an open-pollinated reproduction of five original seed packs. One branch underwent five generations of selection for early maturity, cold resistance, and outdoor reliability in Germany.
In 2025, the breeders returned to the original genetic foundation to recover a broader range of aromas, colors, growth characteristics, and effects. The resulting Line C was open-pollinated to preserve this diversity, while Line D was created by pollinating a climate-adapted keeper female with selected Line C males. Each pack contains a mix of both lines, combining exceptional phenotype diversity with valuable outdoor breeding potential.
Baglung Nepalese 2025 Line is bred exclusively for outdoor cultivation and thrives under natural daylight. Plants develop vigorous, predominantly sativa growth and can reach impressive heights of 3–4 meters (10–13 feet) under favorable conditions. Expect considerable variation in plant structure, bud formation, ripening times, and colours beyond the characteristic pink and violet tones. The climate-adapted genetics in Line D offer additional potential for growers working in northern and temperate outdoor regions. Indoor cultivation is not recommended.
Flowering takes approximately 60–70 days, depending on the phenotype, with outdoor harvests typically mid-September to early October. The relatively early harvest time makes this Himalayan Sativa selection interesting for outdoor breeding projects in regions with shorter growing seasons.
The aroma spectrum is exceptionally diverse, with selected phenotypes expressing peach, strawberry, mango, bubblegum, hashish, anise, and pine. Herbal and peppery profiles were deliberately removed during selection, concentrating the breeding population on fruity, sweet, resinous aroma. Individual plants may display very different terpene combinations, making this release especially rewarding for aroma-focused phenotype hunting.
Effects vary across the genetic population, ranging from a clear, characteristic Sativa high to more nuanced experiences. This diversity is an intentional part of the breeding project, offering growers the opportunity to select individual plants according to their preferences.
Available as regular seeds in a strictly limited edition of just 55 packs worldwide, Baglung Nepalese 2025 Line is a remarkable preservation release with exceptional potential for outdoor cultivation, keeper selection, and the development of new Himalayan-derived Sativa hybrids.
