Description
African Gas feminized seeds are a result of crossing Bangi Haze and A5 Haze, creating a strain with strong gas-like terpenes (not found in its parent strains) and a potent, narcotic high.
The plants are predominantly Sativa, with large colas, sturdy branches, dense buds, and a high calyx-leaf ratio. They may also exhibit a secondary flowering phase reminiscent of the original Northern Lights/Haze hybrid. This high-yielding hybrid boasts an even mix of Sativa genetics from Haze and Congo, with an overwhelming Indica influence from Northern Lights.
African Gas can be cultivated indoors with ample space and strong lighting. It flowers well under 12/12 light cycle, but for smaller growing spaces or quicker harvesting times, a 11/13 light cycle may be more beneficial to boost flower production, prevent multiple flowerings, and avoid excessive stretching. This strain is ideal for Sea of Green (SOG) methods as it produces a high yield from the main cola. It also responds well to Screen of Green (SCROG), horizontal training, or network growth techniques due to its abundant branching and vigorous response to pruning. For optimal outdoor cultivation, warm or Mediterranean climates up to 43ºN are recommended. Ace Seeds suggests using high levels of nutrients throughout the entire growing cycle for best results.
Out of all the plants, 30% have an incredibly strong gassy solvent scent, with nuances of meat and leather. These flavours also translate strongly to the palate, leaving an intense gas-like sensation, along with earthy notes, lemon accents, various organic flavours and a hashy aftertaste. The remaining 70% have a similar gassy profile, but not as overpowering as the first phenotype. Instead, a mix of citrus, floral, mango, and African terpenes are more prominent in this group. African Gas has high to exceptional levels of beta myrcene, moderate to high levels of limonene and trans ocimene.
The gas phenotype provides an intense and overwhelming high, characteristic of a hard-hitting Indica strain. It can quickly immobilize you with its powerful effects, starting with warm sensations that induce lethargy and deep relaxation. Eventually, it leads to complete calmness before descending into a state of oblivion. Significant rest is essential to recover from this strain's impact. The other phenotype also has strong potency and impactful effects, although slightly less destructive than the pure gas phenotype. It adds a wild and cerebral Sativa quality to the initial high, making for a different yet equally intense experience.
