Alpen Mandala (aka Alpine Mandala) was developed in Carinthia by Alpindica Seeds over many years and has already built a strong and enthusiastic following there. The genetics include famous old school strains such as Pine Tar Kush, Purple Urkle and the Swiss Erdbeerli.

This is a functional strain bred for real outdoor environments. It develops a natural Christmas-tree structure with a dominant main stem and evenly spaced side branches. It is easy to manage outdoors and responds well to training if needed. Indoor flowering is only 8-9 weeks.

During flowering, the colourful buds usually carry a tart, forest-like, and peppery aroma, with a heavy sweetness developing toward harvest. Depending on the phenotype, this sweetness can include notes of rose, fine hashish, ripe berries, and a hint of lemon.

For outdoor cultivation, we recommend sowing in mid-May, ideally directly into open ground. The best results are achieved with organic fertilizers or living soil, although the plants also tolerate moderate amounts of mineral fertilizer without issue.

At 47°N plants typically mature between the last week of September and mid-October. Thanks to its strong resistance to fungal diseases, Alpen Mandala handles even a rainy autumn without difficulty.

Once dried, the buds have a very intense aroma that easily fills a room. The flavour is pleasantly sweet and velvety, leaving a long-lasting finish on the palate. The smoke or vapor strongly resembles PEZ candy in its various flavours, likely a trait inherited from the Haribo parent.

The effect is complex, and all users describe it as unique. If one had to place it within the traditional Indica versus Sativa framework, it leans toward the Sativa side. Alpen Mandala is ideal for outdoor activities, creative work, or mental focus. Tolerance buildup is virtually nonexistent.

Thanks to the influence of Mandala #1, there are no negative experiences such as paranoia or discomfort. On the contrary, Alpen Mandala feels embracing, eases anxiety, and is uplifting. The consensus is that it’s a “happy" high in true Mandala tradition.

Germinating Seeds

Our organic cannabis seeds are fresh, ripened to perfection and handcrafted. Each batch is pre-tested for 100% germination. They can be easily germinated in seedling soil. In Europe the Compo Sana seedling mix is an excellent choice. In North America some popular brands are Burpee Seed Starting Mix, Promix Organic Pro Seed Starting Mix and Fox Farm Light Warrior Seed Starter.

Please don't make it difficult for the seed embryo to pop out of its shell and invest in quality soil if you are growing organically. Some of the major problems we've seen in cannabis cultivation are peat pellets or jiffy tabs because the acidic pH can inhibit germination. Coco coir bricks and other "homemade bricks" can also cause low germination rates. 

Soaking the seeds and other pre-germination methods are not recommended. We accept no responsibility for results if customers insist on germinating in paper tissues or soak their seeds in water.

WARNING: Do NOT lower the pH of your water with acids like "pH-Down" products containing nitrogen or phosphoric acid. These acids are so strong they corrode metals! Using pH-Down products on a regular basis can be fatal when growing in soil and KILL your seedlings. We use cheap vinegar since 35 years to lower pH, its non-toxic and completely harmless for plants. The correct water pH for soil cultivation is 6.2-6.5. Please consult our Water & pH Guide for more info.
