Description
The legendary Golden Tiger—still unmatched as the most powerful and psychedelic Sativa in the Ace Seeds catalog—has been crossed with the equally formidable Neville’s A5 Haze (A cut). Renowned for its extreme potency, quality, and heavy yields, this A5 Haze variant played a defining role in shaping the finest Haze hybrids of the 1980-90s.
Colossus is a robust 80% Sativa with exceptional vigor and yield. It remains manageable in indoor setups for experienced Sativa growers. When cultivated outdoors in soil from early spring, it can easily grow into massive 4×4 meter plants with outstanding harvests.
The genetic background is comparable to Killer A5 Haze, but the addition of Double Thai gives this new hybrid a more cerebral, stimulating high with a stronger lemon aroma. This strain contains very high myrcene and high limonene terpenes.
Despite its complex lineage, Colossus shows impressive uniformity in both effect and quality. The primary phenotype flowers in roughly 11–12 weeks, while a slightly more Sativa-leaning version may require an additional 1-2 weeks.
The main phenotype is more compact, featuring large, dense colas, high calyx-to-leaf ratio, and strong bag appeal. The secondary phenotype expresses a more classic Sativa character, with airy buds and a less compact overall appearance.
A 11/13 light cycle is recommended for indoor to boost flowering and to avoid reflowerings or excessive stretching. Very suitable for SCROG, horizontal or network growing due to its excellent yield in the lateral branches and its vigorous reaction to pruning. Moderate to higher nutrient levels and a strong light source are beneficial. The longer flowering phenotype prefers moderate nutrients.
Colossus feminized is perfect for outdoor cultivation in tropical or subtropical climates, although it can be cultivated with very good results in warm coastal climates with a mild autumn (similar to the Mediterranean) up to 43ºN.
The effect starts with pronounced Thai influences, delivering an intense, exhilarating, and highly cerebral psychoactivity that feels expansive and energetic. The main phenotype with dense buds quickly shifts into a heavier, more introspective state, evolving into a powerful experience marked by deep, relaxing body effects and a slightly confused state. Do NOT mix with alcohol or engage in activities that require full focus, like driving, or using machinery!
The Sativa phenotype preserves its untamed Thai nature, offering a mentally stimulating, expansive, motivating, cheerful, with energetic peaks. It remains lighter on the body and avoids a heavy or draining return phase.
Regardless of phenotype, a proper curing period of four to six months is highly recommended, as it greatly improves overall potency, complexity, and depth.
