Description

The Mexican Sativa strain from Sensi Seeds shares many characteristics with its original Oaxaca predecessor, including its strength, height, and elegance, which are all a result of its genetic origins in southern Mexico.

Growing a pure Sativa from Central America in northern latitudes can be extremely challenging. To combat this, Sensi Seeds has added some South African Durban and 30% Indica genetics from the Pakistani Hash Plant, resulting in a reduced flowering time and improved resistance to cold. The airy buds of the new hybrid make it highly resistant to mold. Mexican Sativa is a robust, tall plant that does very well in northern latitudes and has the added bonus of being a low odor strain.

Mexican Sativa is also known for its versatility in cultivation, thriving both indoors and outdoors. During its flowering phase (which can last up to 10 weeks), outdoor plants may reach heights of 2 meters/6.5 feet in moderate or warm climates. To manage growth indoors, growers can shorten the veg period and thin out the plants for bushier growth. Other cultivation methods like Sea of Green (SOG), Screen of Green (SCROG), Lollipopping or Supercropping can also be used to increase yields.

In terms of flavor, Mexican Sativa offers a unique blend of sandalwood, floral notes, and pine.
